We all know that a designer bag is a must have for every woman, so why not save up and make an investment in a classic, and you can't do much better than a Chanel bag. I personally decided to go with the classic Chanel in black caviar leather for its beauty, and off course because this specific bag will never go out of style; it will only become vintage with time. Like every other business woman I have to have my organizer and business cards with me at all time; its a mini organizer that I specifically purchased for this Chanel bag that I use to keep track of client requirements for each styling job. I also have a larger organizer which is the size of the bag itself, so it travels with me only to certain jobs. The second most important piece without which no stylist in this city would survive is the famous wallet, where your entire life is organized by cards. I have chosen Hermes for its long lasting leather quality and perfect stitching. Why orange you would ask, well simply at the time I bought it I was in a orange kind of a mood (plus it is the signature orange which you can only find with Hermes goods). Even though the winter is now here, sun glasses will never go out of fashion in Dubai, we all know that we have to protect our eyes at all times so why not do it fashionably with MiuMiu.
No handbag is complete without the essential make-up items that no woman can be without, especially for someone in the fashion industry. Because the size of this bag doesn't allow me to carry absolutely everything I might need, I have to chose only the most necessary make-up items. My current favorite make-up is Benefit, a brand I have very fond memories of.
Benefit was the first make up I had the pleasure to encounter when I first moved to Dubai 8 years ago. I went to Debenhams to check out the store and get a present for my friend's birthday. The first thing that caught my eye was the bubbly packaging, I couldn't resist getting something for myself, so I picked up some body foundation, which smelled fantastic and had a smooth, foamy texture. Since that moment I became a loyal costumer. Out of curiosity I went online and researched about the brand a little more to find out who had such a beautiful, girly idea and made such an amazing product.
Benefit is owned by two beautiful and bubbly twin sisters Jean & Jane Ford from San Francisco, California, USA. Their motto is "Make-up doesn't have to look serious to look good" and I am assuming they projected their inner selves in the make-up packaging. You can barely find a picture of the two of them not smiling. I have grown very found of them and what they had to offer, they got me, and to this day I still use Benefit products.
My favorite four pieces are the mascara, the lip-balm, the liquid eyeliner, and the blush. You can always find these items in any bag I have with me.
The uniquely named black mascara "they're Real!" is very compact, which is just perfect for my Chanel bag. The rubber brush separates your eyelashes, and makes them long and very natural looking. The mascara is very thick and black, exactly like the eyelashes become after using it. The name is truly based on the result.
Because I feel naked without my eyeliner (and we all know how long putting on eyeliner usually takes especially if you are on the go) I specifically chose this product because of its rubber applicant, which prevents mistakes and it takes seconds to apply. The "Push-up liner" gets compliments anytime I use it.
"ChaCha balm" is the most tasty balm moisturizer I have ever used. It leaves my lips soft and peachy. YUM YUM!
And last but not least, my cute little mini in-box blusher which keeps you looking fresh at all time. All these products are super compact, which is useful when you are limited by the size of your bag.
You can find Benefit in stores across the UAE like Areej, Faces, Sephora, and Debenhams. Don't hesitate to try some of these products yourself, or if you are looking for the perfect gift, Benefit makes a great gift for women of all ages. I am definitely sure you will see a big smile on their face when they open it.
